These songs represent some of my "softer" music. The songs were recorded by me and feature
predominate acoustic guitar work - enhanced by bass, light percussion, keys and occasional sound effects.
'Til the Evening's Gone was written about a relaxing evening after a particularly hectic day
on the job. Discussions with my wife Cathy about the day's events would ultimately lead to laughable
stories and those seemingly troublesome events would then assume more appropriatte levels of importance. Feeling
refreshed, we would then be ready for the next day's events. This song is an attempt to capture these moments.
When Bay Breeses Blow started as a fingerstyle guitar piece. When Cathy heard me playing
it, she wrote out a full page of potential lyrics that suited the mood of the song. I then took the page and
condensed them into the first verse, then followed the theme to finish the song. It started out as a simple recording
of an acoustic guitar but I kept adding more instrumentation until it became what you hear now. Recorded with multiple
vocal lines, the main guitar line was tripled and "sound effects" were added to further enhance the theme and mood.
On Our Wedding Day - was co-written with Dan Snow. He and I have both done some songwriting
and have discussed collaboration. He sent me some lyrics to see if I wanted to try to do something with them.
I went to work putting them to music - this song is the result.
For lyrics - see the pages that follow. If you'd like to hear some other recordings of mine, check
the "Links" page for other music that's available. And feel free to drop me a line with any comments through the "Contact
